Please read these terms carefully before using WebToBook. By installing the Chrome extension or using the service in any way, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

WebToBook is a Chrome extension and supporting API that fetches web articles and delivers them to your Amazon Kindle device via email. The service is operated by WebToBook ("we", "us", or "our").

We do not guarantee that every article will be deliverable. Some pages may be paywalled, bot-protected, or otherwise inaccessible to our fetcher. Delivery to your Kindle depends on Amazon's infrastructure, which is outside our control.

2. Account registration

To use the service you must provide a valid email address and a valid Kindle email address. You must verify your email address before deliveries are processed. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.

You may only register one account per email address. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits is prohibited and may result in termination of all associated accounts.

3. Free tier and usage limits

The free tier allows a limited number of article deliveries per calendar month (the current limit is shown in the extension). Limits reset on the first day of each month. We reserve the right to adjust free tier limits at any time with reasonable notice.

4. Paid plans and billing

Paid plans are available on a monthly subscription basis. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. By subscribing you agree to Lemon Squeezy's terms of service in addition to these terms.

Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You will be billed at the start of each billing period. Prices are listed in USD and are exclusive of any applicable taxes, which Lemon Squeezy collects on our behalf.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the extension or via the manage page. Cancellation takes effect immediately — your plan reverts to the free tier and no further charges are made. We do not provide prorated refunds for the remainder of a billing period.

If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 14 days at support@webtobook.app and we will review your case.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use WebToBook to:

• Deliver content you do not have the right to reproduce or distribute.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, security controls, or HMAC authentication.
• Probe or test the API for vulnerabilities without prior written permission.
• Send bulk or automated requests beyond normal personal use.
• Deliver malicious content intended to harm Kindle devices or Amazon services.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination without refund.

7. Intellectual property

WebToBook does not claim ownership of articles you send. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to access and send the content you submit. We do not store article text beyond the time needed to convert and deliver it.

The WebToBook name, logo, extension code, and API are our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute them without permission.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every article will be delivered successfully. Use of the service is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data or missed reading. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have violated these terms or if we discontinue the service. If we discontinue the service, we will provide at least 30 days' notice and a prorated refund for any unused paid period.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. For material changes, we will send a notice to your registered email address.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bosnia and Herzegovina, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, unless you are entitled to consumer protections under local law that provide for a different jurisdiction.
